About Me
SUPPORTING YOUR CHOICES
.
Cally Edwards
Mother the Mother
I support parents in every labour, birth, feeding, parenting choice. I put you at the heart of the story. What is it that you want? How can we achieve that? From a homebirth to a planned caesarean birth, exclusive breastfeeding to formula feeding and everything in between – you are the narrator of your own story and I’ll support you.
I breastfed my 2 children & have plenty of experience with bottle feeding.
I like to actively increase my knowledge around all areas of labour, birth, feeding, parenting and am constantly up-to-date with medical guidelines. I like to regularly attend conferences, courses, workshops & Continued Professional Development (CPD) days to enhance my skills.
I regularly read professional Midwifery journals & publications as well as attending conferences, study days & open forums to enhance my knowledge, keep current with research & meet like-minded passionate peer groups.
I run local breastfeeding groups & volunteer on the local postnatal ward reaching more mums at a critical early stage of breastfeeding newborn & young babies.
During the 2020-2021 pandemic, I completed my training as an ABM Breastfeeding Counsellor & trained as a Holistic Sleep Coach with Lyndsey Hookway. I’ve mastered teaching on Zoom & now offer a variety of online courses for couples, mums & breastfeeding parents to get support & information.
By teaching regularly, I offer a wealth of experiences, advice as well as having a large address book of helpful groups, professionals & previous clients who I can put you in touch with.
I have a full DBS check & full insurance with Arthur J Gallagher.
Last, but by no means least, I live in the beautiful Chalke Valley with my husband & two sons.

Doula
A Doula (pronouned DOO-luh) offers emotional, practical and signposting support to someone before, during and after childbirth.
I believe in “parenting the parents” – enabling new parents to have the most rewarding & empowered time that they can during pregnancy, birth and the early days as they step into parenthood. Research shows that if a parent is respected, listened to and heard, they are more likely to view their birth and the early days of parenting as a positive experience.
This can have a lasting impact on how the family copes with the changes of parenthood and the mental well being of each family member.
